VPNMINE QUESTION

How does VPNmine protect my privacy?

Also asked as: Is VPNmine private? · What does VPNmine do with my data?

Direct answer

Four ways, each of which you can check. It runs its own servers, so no third party carries your traffic. It encrypts everything with WireGuard. It never records the sites you open, your DNS queries or your traffic content, and it publishes exactly what it does keep and for how long. And it shows no ads, sells no data, and deletes your account in one tap.

On the wire

Every desktop, mobile and TV app opens a WireGuard tunnel encrypted with ChaCha20-Poly1305 and authenticated with Curve25519 keys, to a server VPNmine rents and configures. Your network and ISP see one encrypted stream; sites see the server's address. DNS goes through the tunnel. The browser extension proxies over HTTPS or SOCKS5 and reads no page content.

On the servers

The servers are configured so that the sites you visit, your DNS queries, your traffic content and your originating address paired with activity are not written to disk. What is kept: which server a session used, when it started and ended and how much data moved, for up to 30 days; a random device identifier, platform and app version, for up to 12 months after the device last connects; your email if you create an account, until you delete it.

In the business

No advertising SDK runs in the apps, personal data is not sold, and the website counts page views without cookies or a visitor identifier. Account deletion is a button in Settings and a page on the web, and it removes the account and its data immediately. The operator is named: SpaGreen Creative in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
