VPNmine has no Meta Quest app. Quest headsets run Android underneath and can sideload APKs, but we do not publish one, so any 'VPNmine Quest build' offered elsewhere is not from us. The honest answer today is no, and this page will change if that does.

The state of it

  1. Nothing official to install

    No Meta Horizon store listing and no published APK. Sideloading an unverifiable binary onto a headset that carries your account and traffic is the opposite of what a VPN is for.

  2. Router-level VPN is the theoretical cover

    A VPN running on the router covers every device on the network, headsets included. VPNmine does not issue router configurations today — the router page states that plainly rather than burying it.

  3. Cover the screens that have apps

    The desktop, phone and TV apps are live and free on one account. The Quest stays on your normal connection until there is an honest way to change that.

Meta Quest questions

Can you put a VPN on a Meta Quest?

Not cleanly, from any provider. Quest headsets run Android underneath, so a sideloaded Android VPN app can sometimes be made to work, but no major provider supports the platform properly and VPNmine publishes no APK for it. The supported answer today is no.

Would a VPN on my router cover the Quest?

Yes — router-level VPN covers every device on the network, which is exactly why people ask for it for app-less devices. VPNmine does not issue router configuration files today, so that route is not available with us yet. The router page carries the current state.

Will there be a Quest app?

No promise. If VPNmine ships one, it will arrive through the official store with a listing you can verify, and this page will link to it. Until then, treat any VPNmine Quest APK you find as counterfeit.
