How to install VPNmine on Windows

  1. Download the ZIP

    Use the download button above. It fetches the archive straight from our CDN rather than sending you to a store page, so there is nothing to sign up for first.

  2. Extract it, then run the setup file

    Right-click the downloaded ZIP, choose Extract All, then run the setup file inside. Approve the administrator prompt — registering the service that opens system-wide tunnels needs elevation. If SmartScreen interrupts with “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info, then Run anyway. That screen scores how many people have downloaded a file before, so a newly published installer triggers it until it builds a reputation; it is not a finding about the file.

  3. Sign in, or skip it

    You can connect without an account. Creating one with email, Google or Apple keeps your settings when you install VPNmine on your other devices.

  4. Pick a country and connect

    Choose one of the 68 countries or let the app pick the closest server. One click opens the encrypted tunnel, and the rest of Windows carries on as normal.

Is VPNmine really free on Windows?

Yes. The Windows app is free, the whole server pool is open to every user, and there is no advertising and no payment method required. A paid tier will arrive later, and the apps will say so clearly before it does.

Does VPNmine work on Windows 11?

Yes. The same installer covers 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. There is no separate build to choose: download the ZIP, extract it, run the setup file, and the app installs into Program Files like any other desktop software.

Why does SmartScreen warn me about the installer?

Because the installer is new. SmartScreen scores files by how many people have downloaded them before, so a recently published setup file shows the warning until it earns a reputation. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The file comes over HTTPS from our own CDN, and the address in your browser confirms where it came from.

Why does the app need administrator rights?

Because opening a system-wide tunnel means creating and controlling a Windows network service, which Windows reserves for elevated software. Without that right the app could only proxy a single program rather than protect the whole machine.
