What is VPNmine?
Also asked as: What does VPNmine do? · Is VPNmine a VPN?
Direct answer
VPNmine is a free, no-logs VPN service. It runs its own WireGuard servers in 68 countries and ships apps for Windows, Linux, Android, Android TV and Apple TV, plus a browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox. One account covers every device, there are no ads and no card is required, and it is built and operated by SpaGreen Creative in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
What you get
An encrypted WireGuard tunnel from any of the apps to a server VPNmine rents and configures itself in one of 68 countries, with the apparent location and IP address to match. The whole server pool, including the premium locations, is open to every user today. Account creation is optional: you can connect without one, and an account with email, Google or Apple keeps your settings across devices.
What it keeps and does not keep
It records which server a session used, when it started and ended and how much data moved, for up to 30 days, because abuse handling and capacity planning need it. It never records the sites you open, your DNS queries or the content of your traffic; the servers are configured so that data is not written to disk.
Who is behind it
SpaGreen Creative, a software development company in Dhaka, Bangladesh, builds, publishes and operates VPNmine. It is the publisher on every store listing and the signer of the Windows installer. Apps for macOS and iOS are in preparation.
