LOCATION QUESTION

How can I connect to a Singapore VPN?

Also asked as: How do I get a Singapore IP address? · Is there a free Singapore VPN server?

Direct answer

Install VPNmine on your desktop, phone, TV or browser, sign in or skip, and choose Singapore from the server list. The app opens an encrypted WireGuard tunnel to VPNmine's Singapore server and every site you open sees a Singapore address. It is free, with no ads and no card, and Singapore is the lowest-latency exit for most of Southeast Asia.

The steps

Install VPNmine on your desktop, phone, TV or browser, sign in or skip, and pick Singapore from the server list. The app opens a WireGuard tunnel to the Singapore server, and every site you open afterwards sees that server's address instead of yours. To confirm, open the IP checker on this site with the tunnel up: it should report Singapore.

Why Singapore

Singapore is the interconnection hub of Southeast Asia: most of the region's submarine cables land there, and the major cloud and content networks peer there. From Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam it is usually the closest exit on the list; from South Asia it is a strong alternative to Mumbai when you need a different country. The location page carries the latency estimates and what Singapore's law requires.

What it does not do

A Singapore exit changes which country a site thinks you are in and hides your traffic from your own network. It does not defeat account-based identification, and streaming services that flag hosting ranges may still recognise a VPN exit — test rather than assume.
