VPNmine browser extension
The VPNmine browser extension is free and routes the browser's traffic through the same 19-country network as the apps over HTTPS or SOCKS5, while the rest of the machine stays on your own connection. One Chrome Web Store listing covers Chrome, Edge and Opera; Firefox has its own on Firefox Add-ons. It reads no page content and injects nothing into pages.

What it does
- Routes the browser's traffic through the VPNmine server you pick, over HTTPS or SOCKS5
- Uses the same optional account and the same 19-country server list as the apps
- Leaves mail, messaging and every other app on your own connection
- Requests only the permissions needed to set a proxy and show connection status
What it does not do
- Open a system-wide tunnel — browsers do not give extensions that power
- Read page content, inject scripts into pages, or collect browsing history
- Protect DNS lookups made by the operating system outside the browser
- Replace the app on an untrusted network, where everything else stays visible

Is the VPNmine browser extension free?
Yes. The extension is free on the Chrome Web Store and on Firefox Add-ons, with no ads and no card. It signs in with the same optional account as the apps and uses the same server pool.
Does the extension cover the whole computer?
No. An extension cannot open a system-wide tunnel, so it routes only the browser it is installed in. Mail, messaging and other apps stay on your own connection. For the whole machine, use the Windows app, or the macOS app when it ships.
Which browsers does it support?
Chrome, Edge and Opera through the single Chrome Web Store listing, and Firefox through Firefox Add-ons. Chromebooks install the Chrome listing too. Safari is not supported.
